Frances A Trigilio

Frances Ann (nee Campisi) Trigilio, age 98 of Lorain, passed away Monday January 30, 2023 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home following a short illness. Frances was born on March 7, 1924 in Cleveland to Antonio and Anna Campisi and married Carl Trigilio in 1949. Frances graduated from John Adams High School in 1942. During her working career, she worked at Firestone Tire & Rubber, Bendix Westinghouse and Admiral King High School. Frances enjoyed reading, crocheting and was a Cub Scout Den mother. She also enjoyed cooking and everyone agreed she was the best cook. Frances cherished her family and spending time with them. She also enjoyed her home in Pine Island, Florida and with Carl wintered there for 12 years. Frances is survived by her sons David (Sharon) of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Timothy (Virginia) of Amherst, Ohio, granddaughters Angela Curto (Matt), Amy Trigilio and Dr. Carrie Guluzian (Greg), step-grandson Brandon Pennington (Lauren) and great grandchildren Madeline Guluzian, Allison Guluzian, James Pennington and Jordan Pennington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as some very good friends. All thought the world of her and showered her with much love. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Trigilio, brother Joseph Campisi, sisters Josephine Provenza, Connie Trigilio, Mary Campisi and Rose Dalpra. Frances loved to meet people and greeted them with her great smile. She enjoyed nice clothes and took pride in how she dressed. Her jewelry always was a perfect accent to what she wore. The one color she despised was purple. She had an aversion to purple because to her it was the color of death. Family always made sure not to buy cards or gifts that were purple. To honor Mom’s memory as you pay your respects, please wear clothing of any color, but not purple. The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday February 4, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel located at 3224 Broadway, Lorain, Ohio. A Catholic mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday February 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Ohio. (please meet at the church) Rev. Gerald Keller will preside. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Peter Parish. The family would like to thank the staff at Rose Senior Living, Avon Oaks Nursing Home and Western Reserve Hospice for the compassionate care Mom received over the last several months.
