Mary Ann Radanovich

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Radanovich (née Raynovich), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Mary Ann was born on September 8, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and moved to Lorain, Ohio, with her family when she was young. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Monday May 26th at the age of 86. . Mary Ann was married to the love of her life, Mitch Radanovich, for over sixty years before his passing in 2019. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and community. The couple was married on September 6, 1959, at St. Elijah Church in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, and later celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and friends at Saint Mark Serbian Orthodox Church. A devoted homemaker and mother, Mary Ann also spent time working at Hart’s Jewelry and as a waitress and cook. She was a faithful member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, where she loved being a member of the Kolo and participating in church events and gatherings. MaryAnn cherished reading, watching her family grow and hosting Sunday family dinners… a beloved tradition that brought her the greatest joy as her home filled with the laughter and stories of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mary Ann is survived by her beautiful sisters: Lois (Ron) Poltrone and Joan (Alan) Miller, and four loving children: Mike (Gina) Radanovich of Bardstown, Kentucky; Melanie (Dave) Tisler of Lorain; Mark (Michelle) Radanovich of Lorain; and Milan (Michelle) Radanovich of Lorain. She was a proud “Baba” to Brittany (Cory), Alexander (Brianna), Courtney, Mila, Ian, Alyssa, and Luke, as well as the cherished great-grandmother to Carson, Tessa, Austin, and Khaleesia. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Nellie (nee Zunich) and Alex Raynovich; her dear husband, Mitch Radanovich; and her sister, Joyce Friedel. Mary Ann’s warmth, kindness, faith, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the countless memories shared, the traditions she passed down, and the strong family bonds she nurtured throughout her life. Memory Eternal. Visitation will take place on Monday June 2nd from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway, Lorain. A Pomen Service will be conducted there at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. in St. George Serbian Orthodox Church (3335 Grove Avenue, Lorain) with Reverend Nektarije Tesanovic officiating.
